My flaws, My strengths

When I looked in the mirror then, I see all my flaws: I see short thin hair that falls flat on my head, I see one eye that's a little larger than the other. I see a nose that's not shaped like a slide, I see a jaw that isn't as slender as I would like. I see arms that are too weak, I see breasts that are often to large, or too small. I see a stomach that isn't flat, I see hips that are as flat as my waist. I see legs that jiggle when I walk, I see feet that are a little too long. A shadow seen, under the dimly shining lights, feet lightly touching the ground. The diestant sound, of a car roaring by, takes my attention towards it. A small child stares, stares at the shadow, eyes wide in wonder. A small hand then reaches, reaching for his hand, and small eyes stare into his. I met him, Just a shadow passing by. I couldn't help but let my interest fly. Follow him I did, Into those shadows. My interest took wing, but to follow a shadow? Oh, I didn't know, that the shadow I had followed, was someone I did know. I have known, the one I have loved, for what seems an eternity, was just a shadow passing by. But, that eternity has ended, when I met you, a shadow simply passing by.

My name is Jen. I'm 19 years old and I live in the most tempermental state in the world. One minute it's 100 degrees out and then it's snowing and 20 degrees. I plan on goig to live near the ocean when I graduate college. I like to write and draw, though i doubt very much any of my art will wind itself onto this website, and if it does, it will be the sketch and maybe, if you're lucky, the inked in version.
